Chau Tan, Founder and CEO of Golden Spice Lane. My journey began with a simple but powerful passion: food. I’ve always believed that food is more than just nourishment—it’s an adventure, a story, and a bridge between cultures.
Over the years, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to travel around the world, immersing myself in different cuisines and experiencing the magic of spices in their purest form. From the bustling spice markets of Vietnam to the vibrant street food of Thailand and the rich, earthy flavors of the Philippines, not to mention the tasty pastries of Paris or the great desserts from Austria, each destination opened my eyes to the diversity and depth that spices bring to life.

But something always struck me during my travels: I would return home excited to share these amazing flavors with my friends and family, only to find that many of the spices I had discovered were difficult—if not impossible—to find. My friends couldn’t access the same rich, authentic ingredients, and it left their dishes missing the soul that only true, high-quality spices can provide.
That realization sparked the idea for Golden Spice Lane. I wanted to create a company that would help everyone—not just travelers like me—experience the incredible flavors I had encountered across the globe. I believe that everyone deserves to taste the world, to explore new cuisines, and to elevate their cooking with spices that are fresh, authentic, and full of life.
For me, this isn’t just a business—it’s a mission. A mission to celebrate cultural diversity through food, to connect people through flavor, and to make the extraordinary accessible to everyone. Our Roots: A Land of Spices and Flavors

Nestled along the pristine coastline of Central Vietnam, Da Nang has long been a culinary crossroads where land meets sea, and ancient traditions blend seamlessly with modern tastes. Known for its vibrant markets, flavorful street foods, and a rich history steeped in the spice trade, this bustling city became the birthplace of our company, Golden Spice Lane.

The company was founded in 2023 in Danang, Vietnam, by my passion for taste and spice enthusiasm. Vietnam, known for its rich culinary heritage, served as the perfect base for sourcing and distributing the finest spices from across Southeast Asia and beyond. What began as a small venture to share Vietnam’s culinary treasures soon expanded to include partners in Thailand, the Philippines, and other spice-rich regions.

From Farm to mouth:

Our philosophy centers on bridging the gap between spice farmers and tastes worldwide. By eliminating middlemen, we provide farmers with fair compensation while offering our customers unmatched quality and affordability.
